There are still plenty of spots open for the Women's Introduction to Fly Fishing Clinic at the Pequest Trout Hatchery on Saturday, June 7. The clinic starts at 9 a.m. This is a perfect introduction to anyone who has even a casual interest in trout fishing and fly fishing. Learn in one day what some fly anglers take months or years to learn. Taught by knowledgeable and experienced instructors, everyone is welcome to learn at their own pace in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The instructors are all members of Trout Unlimited Chapters from across New Jersey.
The morning session will cover equipment, lines, leaders and knots as well as valuable information on flies and which ones to use when. The afternoon session will cover casting techniques, instruction and practice followed by putting new learned skills in action to actually catch trout in the hatchery pond.
The clinic is free but pre-registration is required. Don't miss out on a great learning experience and a fabulous day enjoying the outdoors. To register call 908-637-4125.
