Where can I get my boat license?

Where and when can I get my Boating license? And does anyone know how much the cost is ?  Thanks

Our Very own Capt Dave (Sealife) Is an Instructor.  I took his course last year..  Not sure where you live but here are his classes in Ewing.

If you are too far from Captain Dave you can call the CG auxiliary and they can hook you up with a class. Cost is around $50.

Remember--- Boating Safety Certificate and Boat License are two different things here in NJ-- both vying for your money. If you fish or operate on tidal waters only, you DO NOT need the Boat License which is an endorsement on your DMV Auto Drivers License just like Motorcycle or CDL or Articulated. You will need the Safety certificate, which is handled by the NJSP, either way. I personally think they need another agency involved also-- as I have some more extra time and cash to throw away. The current multi agency system is too simple and user friendly to actually be workable here in NJ.

Also check at your local West Marine, many of them sponsor classes in the store over three nights or two weekend days

nice guys.. thanks for your help... ill be taking a class in i think 2 weeks, my uncle is gonna hook it up.. he knows someone i just dont know how yet..

Local Power Squadron, Local Aux. Coast Guard,West marine,and Private guys all offer the course.Check yourlocal tackle and boating places you will get hoooked up.Cost varies from 45-60 bucks.
