catfish's fluke report
« on: June 08, 2008, 05:25:52 PM »
was suposed to have a full boat today but my buddy over slept so I met up w/ scrubby and avid for a day of fluke fishing ,I was very egar to get on the water and was up and loading the truck by 2:30 for some reason I had visions of fluke in a cooler of ice,It was a hard day out there and we had to work hard for every fish we put in the box,we landed some shorts but not as many as we been .total bucktail count for today was 6 for 3 guys so it wasnt to bad ,I did have to back down on some to get them back from the snags but it worked just fine .we ended the day early do to the heat and sun ,I thought I was going bass fishing tonight {great bite going on down south huge fish all day} but my sunburn is hurting so I am blowing the trip off and sitting in the central air .total count for the day was 10 nice keepers and one keeper sea bass.It was very slow out there

Nice catch Catfish. It's been hard to find a keeper fluke in my area this year. I'm sure with the water temp going up, the fish keeping count will too.  t^

I heard some guys on the radio saying they were into massive bunker at the ferris wheel in Sea Side. They said there were no bass at the time. But they many not have been very truthful.  ;D

If I knew they were hitting them there, I would have considered the run myself.  t^

That's a lot of fuel from up your way, unless you trailer it down.

Nice reports, Catfish!
I always enjoy them!  You seem to have the touch for Fluke!
Hey I caught that post of some lunkers at the pier.  Any time of day better than most?  Or better tide?  I hope to head down no later than the Holiday weekend. I got Bill's number to call ahead. Maybe I can also hook up with Paul(Ped579) to try ISBP!
Thanks,  Jeff
One day I'll have a photo of me and my 1st Striper up instead of this cat.
