The Greater Pt Pleasant Charter Boat Association has been a long time supporter of the NJ Reef Program and the Reef Rescue effort. This weekend they hold their annual Mako Mania Shark Tournament where, as honored guest, NJ State Senator Sean Kean, primary sponsor of the "TRAPS OFF THE REEF" bill, will be our keynote speaker. Please come to get a first hand update on the status of this important legislation.
The Senator will be speaking at 7:30 sharp at the Captain's Meeting, held at Clark's Landing Marina, 847 Arnold Av Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, Friday, June 20. Let's show him how much we care about our reefs by attending. Please put in your columns & pass the word around.

Here is an announcement that Sen. Sean Kean, R-Mon., will hold a rally at 7 p.m. June 24 to urge passage of his bill to prohibit the traps on the reefs. The "Take Back Our Reefs'' rally will be held at the Taylor Pavilion in Belmar. The affair will also include an update on the science and politics in the campaign being led by the Save the Summer Flounder Fishery Fund.
