I do not have a cast net yet, so I can't catch fresh peanut bunker. Are there any bait shops on Rt36 going towards the Highland that carry peanut bunker?

i don't think so, and if they do, they are frozen.. a cast net pays for itself the first use..

Most shops will have a small supply of fresh when the peanuts are in thick. But, that is hit or miss. They sel out quick.

U can snag them on the surface in the fall.  for now, buy a small, 20 dollar 3-ft radius cats net from dick's and learn the skill.
