Fluke N or S Manasquan
« on: July 06, 2008, 07:09:07 AM »
Three trips 400 gallons of fuel. 3 keepers. Not to good. I'm on vacation this week. Any help would be great. Last saturday we drifted the Axel Carlson twice and had 1 fish. Oh, draggers start fluking today.

From the reports I  have read. They are having better luck North. Give Capt Jerry P a shout. He'll tell yu where he has been most productive. N or S

As Rod said. From what I've been hearing, all the fluke action is north of Manasquan, and even better north of Shark River, and while keepers have been spotty, most are taken on the rough bottom areas.

Its a trip for you but the North Area:Raritan, Sandy Hook Bays, Keyport,Sandy Hook Channel, and the beach have had action with ratio still high shorts to keepers.Every one could use some cooperation from weather, wind however.
The guys down South should be able to put you on some fish too.   Good Luck.

Keep putting in the time and the keepers will come your way. You have to stay away from the beach to get some bigger fish.

I've been having limited success from Asbury north to Long Branch. Look for the rough bottom and lumps. The past week or two it seems to have been an afternoon bite. t^
