Had my Brother-in-Law Roger out today in the same area of the reach for Fluke. Started off searching for the nutz... no find. A through of the net on breaking water produced small rain fish that slipped through the net and a couple of 4" snappers. Continued the search and headed to the AH. Found the adults and snagged a few for fillet, then headed out to the channel. Tide turned shortly after 10:00AM. Fished same waypoints as the day before. First drop Roger lands the a 18.5" keep. SPRO and teaser were the ticket again however, today all fish were taken on the teaser with killie, snapper or bunker strips. Not a one attacked the SPRO squid except the mother of fish that held onto the squidd until it saw the net. When it opened it's mouth, you could have put your fist in it!! Would have been my largest fish to date
wasn't meant to be! Two and half hours of steady action. Released ten or so shorts either 12-14" or just shy of regulation. Ended the day with 5 nice fish to 22". Wind shifted, current slowed, bite off, headed back to port at 1:30 against a steady chop. Good day on the water with one of my best friends!
