Are Striped Bass Always on the Move?
« on: May 01, 2007, 10:07:07 PM »
Ive always wondered about this, Especially  when I'm anchored up in grassy channel ( a known location to Catch) And I look out to the inlet and see 40-50 boats doing the same..  Playing the waiting Game..

All my fish there came about 1 hour into the outgoing.  My question is... Why??  Are the bass always on the move?  are they there and just laying around structure and such, just not feeling the urge? or are they on the prowl hunting for food and just happend to find my treat?

They lay around structure until its time to find dinner.  When the bass are on the move, that means they are feeding, and feeding on live fish.  If they are on structures, they can be feeding on crustrations,  or being lazy.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.
