Sea Hawk 7/29
« on: July 30, 2008, 11:33:37 AM »
Capt Mike having some 'puter issues so I figured I'd just put up an update.

They started out in the Reach yesterday for pretty good action and a pick of keepers.  Steamed out to deeper waters and had slightly improved action and a better keeper-to-short ratio.

High hook had 6 keepers.  Pool fish went about 5.5lbs.  Overall they had 50+ keepers onboard.
Not great, but still a decent pull of fluke TT^

Captain tells me conditions have been less than favorable recently and the fishing is spotty overall.  Trying new areas and getting fish intially, but they seem to shut down very quickly.

Nice report GT. Sounds like the captain is on the move to try to locate the fish. Can't ask anything more than that from a captain.

Also sounds like he has had some luck in finding them.  t^

Just spoke with Capt Mike and said he has a light crowd today.  Started out with a slow pick but into some fish now.  Said he had a 7, 5.5, and a 4lb+ flattie onboard. TT^

He had to cut the call short as he was going to net a fish t^

Search, search and work thru the shorts but the ratio is getting better.
