Spearfish' 8/3 Fluke report
« on: August 04, 2008, 10:55:41 AM »
Fished again with my dad, son, and my friend's grandfather.  It's been a while since I got humbled fluking, but it happened today.  There were 8 keepers in the cooler when we got home, none of which were mine.  5 were my dad'd and 3 were Pop's.  There were also 2 more keepers, one I dropped back in the water while measuring and one my son missed with the net.  My dad was using a spro rig on a swivel with a 3oz sinker attached to the jig.  Whatever works.  Best bait was strips or chartreuse Gulp, and the big fish was about 4 pounds and was caught on the last drift as we were getting ready to leave. My son and I were the sea robin, shark and short fluke specialists for the day.  There was actually a couple of times where the other 3 poles had fish on and I was standing there holding mine.

Good report Spearfish. There are a lot of trips I let everyone else catch all the fish too.  TT^
