Roosters Flukin 7-31
« on: July 31, 2008, 07:40:09 PM »
It was decided to fish the Sandy Hook Channel this morning. Arriving at buoy #13 just as the tide started out we began to bale the Sea Robins with a few short Fluke thrown in. Holding bottom with wind and tide in the same direction soon proved futile and we moved over to the False Hook Channel. Here the wind was blocked by the beach and fishing was much more comfortable. Starting in about 20' of water the Fluke cooperated with many shorts coming on board. Here I caught the only keeper at 19½". The ocean was calm with cooling breezes and made for a very nice fishing trip.

Thanks for the report.  Too bad you didn't have more keepers, but you had a nice catch and nice fishing.  Sounds like a good day!!

nice weather day, and at least you got something to fillet back at the dock  t^ t^
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
