Pops soul 8/3
« on: August 03, 2008, 08:59:41 PM »
Left Shark River inlet at 9:30 with 3 on board Me, the wife, and Coyote Cal. Headed for the deep water lumps just north of Sea Girt reef. With a nice north west wind and a 73 dgree water temp we started to pick up fluke right away I didn't even get my line in the water until the end of the first LONG drift. With Coyote Cal and the wife boating fish one after the other and the wife putting a 18 inch keeper in the box her first fish in the boat, which also put the JINX on us for another keeper. We zeroed in on the fish making shorter drifts and a steady pick of shorts until we lost are drift around 2:45. Nice day to be on the water ended the day with that one lone keeper in the box, we only had one Sea Robin and on skate.  t^

It was a nice day on the water Skip. At least you had action on the shorts.  t^

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Nice report, and sounds like a nice day out on the water. One keeper is certainly better than none.
