Fluking 8/3
« on: August 03, 2008, 08:51:06 PM »
went out this morning with friend Ken and his wife Hon on there boat "The Breeze".launched at Sayreville at around 6:30.started out fishing back bay and only picked a few shorts.moved to area 19 can in the Reach and again only shorts.made a move over near the Verazzano Bridge and picked away at shorts, sea robins, small sea bass, spider crab and starfish.moved out into the Ambrose channel in a area where most of the fleet could be seen, continued with shorts and other,Ken and I did each get a keeper at about 21 inches, his was caught on smelt and a squid strip and mine was on a fluorescent mullet with a squid strip, stayed in this area and headed back a little after 1,made one more stop in the Reach but nothing.headed for home around 2,a nice day on the water haven't been out in 2 weeks,my boat sitting in driveway down a cylinder, looking to repower and have some prospects, hopefully gets done before the seasons over.     Kez
