Pop's Soul Weekend Report
« on: August 10, 2008, 05:05:24 PM »
Saturday 8-9 headed out of Shark River inlet and headed North where it looked like the whole North Jersey Fleet was drifting. Made are first drift off of Deal with 4 on board Me, the wife, Drew and his girlfriend Dory. Dory was excited to catch her first fluke on her own. We ended the day with Mother and Son teaming up for a pair of keepers and one keeper Seabass. I also got out Sunday for a short time before the storms rolled in with my daughter Bridget and Her new Husband Mike and his 11 yr old daughter Allison. We boated a lot of fish in a short period of time and ended with each one of them boating a keeper. A family weekend and it was nice to see the fluking finally turning on in our part of the state  t^

Nice report and pics Skip. You're right, the fluking has finally started to pick up some in our area. Let's hope it get even better for the keepers now. Way to many 17 1/2 inch fish being released.
