delaware bay report 8/8 and 8/9
« on: August 10, 2008, 03:13:27 PM »
Fished fortesque for fluke on 8/8. caught 48 fluke and only 3 keepers. most fish were over 17 inches but short of 18. strips of sea robin out fished killies and other baits. thought I would try outside of cape may on 8/9 because the ocean temp was higher, caught about 10 fluke less than 13 inches. no keepers, however I did catch about 50 short weakies and a whole cooler of kingfish. kings caught directly in front of cape may beach in 25-35 ft of water. them kings are some good eatin
Later for now,

Kingfish = Northern Kingfish? I'm heading down to Cape May next week. Looking for fish for the table when I'm there.

Call Cape May Bait and Tackle, a new shop that opened this year. Ask for Ron and ask for the latest report for the area. He was very helpful when I was there in July.
