Fluking 8/14
« on: August 15, 2008, 01:04:18 PM »
Sorry for the late report, drive home last night was slow due to weather. It was like a lake yesterday as I left AH and I tried the Reach as that is where they have been catching lately but only small fish and robins.  Decided it was Ambrose time so I went to #7 on the out going and it was 12oz time but no engine needed.  In fact the engine slowed me too much so I went with 12 till the tide slowed up.  Drifted 7 to 3A green side and only used  gulp.  Over 35 fish for the day with 6 keepers, nothing big 21" the largest but a great day on the water.  Even caught a double header of skates with one on the grub and one on the teaser.  Came in at 3 and just finished cleaning the boat and fish before the skies opened.  A NJ Trooper visited me at the cleaning table to check the catch.  He came up behind me and asks "How did you do?", I turn around and it is a Trooper in work uniform.  I said, got six, racks are in the can if you want to measure.  He goes over to the can, looks at them and smiles, says have a nice day and went to give someone a ticket for something.  The skies opened about ten minutes later and it was a nasty storm.  Ride home was slow due to accidents.
