Does anyone know anything about the Navy pier
fishing contest on Saturday?

Yes, the little gray boat has two Navy Officers witha 50 caliper machine gun on its bow..So fish hard but keep out of the safety zone.Your charts and GPS will show the zone. Good Luck

I remember years ago growing up in Belford, we used to ride our dirt bikes under the pier to Leonard at low tide. Wouldn't want to try that now.

I can remember as a kid fishing with my uncle near the pier.  At night you could see two red lights on the beach and if you were close enough to the beach a jeep would ride the beach with you until; you cleared the zone.  I thought it was pretty cool as a kid.  Still do as a matter of fact.

I laugh at the boats that get chased out of the markers around the pier. A straight line of buoys around a navy vessel, what do people think?

was this a kids tournament..  Have a member asked me about something like this..  a kids fishing tournament there this month...
