Rented a boat Sunday and did nothing of note. Hit the beach yesterday and today a couple hours before high tide each morning. Not a big fan of surf fishing but it was steady action catching kingfish and some spot on light tackle. At one point a bunch of 5 lbs blues came through and one gobbled a spot I was bringing in. Always makes for a fun time when you hook up with 'non-targeted species'.
Anytime I'm catching fish for the table, I'm happy. I'll be at it tomorrow again. Only down side is buying those blood worms ($$$). Any suggestions for replacement bait? Suposedly its the only thing that works but I heard them hitting mackerel and clams too. What are Fish Bites?
