Left Grillo's dock at 615 with him, FQ, Vic and myself. Bunker were boiling by the dolphins near the Oceanic Bridge so we put a few 1-2lbers in the livewell, who knows?
Greeted with some 2-4' rollers around the Hook but hightailed it to the Rocks. Man that Sailfish is stable compared to YSA.
Worked our way East; drifted over some structure before everyone else rolled in. Vic started sweating and turning colors; eventually he took it upon himself to get our chum slick going. He insisted he would be alright, but his face was chartreuse.
Caught lotsa snags and seabass. One each at 13" & 14" but surprisingly NO FLUKE.
Vic continued adding to our chum slick and we sent a livie down on a big stick to see if anyone was home (they weren't.) We continued bailing short seabass and donating rigs to the rocks. Finally said NO MAS at 1045 and hightailed it back to Red Bank. Coming back around the Hook it was insane with boats- doesn't look like high fuel prices are slowing anyone down.
Back out at it hopefully magic hour today.
