Motored out of Shark River inlet to a smooth rolling ocean and headed North with Drew, Dory and Jamie on board. Made our first drift in 60 feet of water with the temp holding at 72 degrees off of Asbury Park only to pick up 3 Skates. Moved further North to Allenhurst for a slow bite of shorts. Picked up and moved to a small fleet off of Long Branch and a nice pick of fish from 18 to 24 inches made 4 drifts before the wind picked up out of the southeast and blew us off. We tried a drift in close to the red church only to pick up 2 sea robins and a couple of short fluke. With a tight chop on the water with a 3 foot roller thrown in plus the seas seemed like they were still builting so we called it quits around 2:30. Finished the day with 4 fat fluke and a nice Sea Bass.
