SH bass 8-30
« on: September 01, 2008, 12:10:19 PM »
Had a mixed bag Friday night. Started fluking until I saw birds working. Had newbie on board so I figured he would love to get some blues on light tackle. We caught about 15 each. Started drifting Gulp sand worms and we caught about 10 small fluke, a stargazer that was close to 10lbs, a bullnose manta that was about 3 foot across(can't believe how long that took to real in). Then went to the rips and manage 3 keeper bass. 29" and 2 @ 33". The fluke seemed to really like the GULP worms and the bass did too. First time using it.  Inside the bass were baby robins and eels.  I think that when my local bait store starts selling eels it is going to go off. t^  should be a good fall run.
