Cluck U Challenge #2 9-27 + Comedy
« on: September 27, 2008, 07:21:25 PM »
Author; MONGER MIKE

Started the day off meeting FinS Bob and his fishing buddy Steve (can't post HIS nickname here). They were fishing at north end of canal but we needed to meet Boston Pete and his "little brother" at the other end/side, so we left them biting. Allen G was fishing by us and he went over with us to other spot. PBJ met us there too but left as his sensitive skin was attacked by one mosquito. The outgoing was starting to move good and the bite wasn't great so they headed back to the original spot and I stayed for a bit. Caught a nice triggerfish then went for lunch.

Cluck U Challenge:

Met Jerry, Stellie and Paulie (exit14a) at pre-determined spot. Paulie wasn't gonna stay he so wasn't in challenge. We AGREED to fish until 4pm and single hook rigs only. Jerry jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Stellie and I closed within 3 many times but couldn't seal the deal.

We fished from 1:30 until 4:00 pm with a ten minute break to give Boston Pete a few keepers and the trigger for Andre's dinner.

Final Count:
Jerry 49
Stellie 44
LAB 41

Paulie had AROUND 30 fish. We ALL learned the new "Greek Math" today. Take a number..........any number and multiple it by THREE.

We had around 25 legal fish but only kept a few for Petey.

Half green crabs with legs and shells off on the outgoing tide. Once the tide stopped, so did the bite.

Jerry - 6 Thermo Nuclear Chicken Bites with mashed
Stellie - 12 Wings (baby sauce = mild) with fries
Paulie - 6 Chicken Bites (baby sauce), no side dish
LAB - 12 Wings (traditional sauce) and mashed

Paulie almost finished his Bites.

Stellie took a half hour to eat his wings but left alot of meat on the bone.

Jerry ate half his Bites (cut up and pushed the balance around the plate like a little kid showing his parents he ate his dinner) and some of his mashed.

LAB devoured all his Wings (bones looked like they were bleached in the desert) and all his mashed in 6 minutes.

Good time, fair fishing and alot of ball busting.

TRIED to get Allen to stay and fish. Fins Bob and Steve had to leave at 1pm. Pete had Andre. PBJ said it was raining in Keansburg.
