Nasty Surf Day 2

OK the wind died down a little and the surf is still kicking but not as hard.  Did everyone make it OK ?

Nice pics again!  Looks like the beach is remodeled a bit, but it certainly survived.  Hopefully, the worst is past us and the east and northeast winds go away for a bit.

Well the winds have certainly calmed down quite a bit we are down to 5 - 10 but had a gust earlier in the day of 39. 

Yeah, there is a nasty cluster off shore that will pass well to our east so that is one good thing.  Besides it looks like there is lightning embedded in this one.  Better it is off shore.

 is there any reason for surf like that... no.. its unnecessary! Cant we just have some decent waves to fish thru?

That's the slop the bass will be in feeding on the clams.

Clams are the key for a while.  I am noticing more and more coming on shore as things calm down.  Today was beautiful over there.  Bass were being caught all over the place I saw reports at Grumpys in the early AM of one good size bass 43" 28.8# caught on a plug that was all the info in the log.

But there were smaller keepers caught on clams as well as artificial eels in black. Wiggle Worm to be exact.

Looks like the run has started guys I will be out this afternoon on the incoming tide.

BTW it seems like the time of day that things heat up is during the incoming tide in full light.  Go figure...

I caught zip before daylight...
