Broke the inlet much later than we wanted yesterday, close to 7:45am. Looked for pods, didn't see any but marked lots of bait with very little to no activity. Trolled tubes and spoons for awhile - nothing. Headed over to the tires and hung a mixed bag of short everything on the drift. The crew did manage to bag two really nice 'togs. One got a 17", the other 16. Ended the day on a fat keeper sea bass. Really beautiful day on the water, although again, not what the forecast called for. Wind changed and we were looking a solid chop with whitecaps by mid-afternoon. Went back inside and chilled.
Got a little tight out at the tires and a bunch of idiots anchoring on the BLR were yelling at us for drifting!!!!
Hey, what's the deal with porgies? How big do they get? Eat 'em? Put'em on a hook and send them back down? Seemed to be Porgie Central out there yesterday. Wish my kids were with me. They'd have had fun...
