not a regular poster but have been taking advantage of other reports on the board...so i do feel compelled to return the favor
in any event, headed out Leonardo at day break and saw a fleet of boats working the false rip at SH and wondered if they were into the clam bite i'd been reading about during the week.
well, after a while of seeing no real activity, decided to push ahead with the original game plan of heading out tp the scotland ground area and checking on the bottom scene.
this was the right call. steady pick of bottom fish, sea bass, porgies and a handful of toggies along with an outta season winter flounder rounded out our pull for the next several hours.
clams and squids on high low did the trick for us. the porgies were good size, up to dinner plate size.
good luck out there
