10/09 Shrewsbury River

The original plan was to fish the entire day with Mate Matt, but as always things popped up and scrapped that.

Woke up early and headed down to the dock fished the river from the Highlands Bridge out on the outgoing tide.

Started with top water plugs and boated 2 shorts 24 & 25"...that action sudsided and then drifted worms, 4 more bass from 23-28". t^....called it quits around 0630....to do the chores.  :P

From the sounds of it we did not miss anything on the daylight line sider bite..... 5hrug

We will be out on Sat with a Striper Bottom fish Charter t^

Nice way to start the day.  t^

That was one of my favorite spots when I ran my own boat. Another plus factor was that I was docked at Gateway which is a 3 second run.

Never did great on the outgoing, always did better on the flood.

Hey Skol. I bought my boat at Gateway when they were a Parker dealer. Had it there a couple of years till I moved it to Shark River.  t^

My first boat (25' Mako) I bought used Gateway and a year later traded it in to Gateway for a 23' Century.
