I can't wait to see the price of food go down.  What a lot of people fail to realize is that OIL is the key.  It is what drives the cost of just about any commodity we use and consume.

Just about everything has to be delivered by something that uses an oil product to make it move.  Thus the delivery costs will come down making the products come down to a more favorable price and then by consuming more products more people will be needed to produce them, well you get the idea.  Now is the time to Drill and really drive our point home to those oil producing nations.

But we can do better and we must start bridging that gap to alternative energy. But oil is that bridge we need to carry us over. We will always need petroleum but not in the amounts we now consume.

Sorry for the soap box.

Don't count on the food prices dropping anytime soon or by a lot. Once they see they can get the prices they are getting without loosing sales they stay with that price.  :P
