Upper New York Bay report 10/12
« on: October 12, 2008, 10:46:09 AM »
The original plan was for me and my dad to go down to Bayonne Park and try to get some porgies. Didn't happen. So instead we went down to the kayak launch. First couple of casts nothing then my dad got about a 8" striper. Dad 1 me 0. So I decided to go futher down the walkway to the end.  When I got there was nothing going on. While I was jigging with a castmaster my dad walked up to me and BANG!! Look down a school of snappers chasing the lure. Dad 1 me 1. Next thing we know fish busting everywhere. Soon I got another one and another. Then the golf culb ferry started up and the fish were gone. I managed to to catch two more. The final tally is Dad 1 me 5. Not bad for the final snapper trip of the year.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
