Irish Ayes 10/14/08
« on: October 14, 2008, 10:29:29 PM »
I met Capt. Joe, Bob Cole, Ralph and Harold at around 8:00 this morning.  The plan was to get in on the hot sea bass bite Joe and the guys had Monday.  Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.  The bite was a slow pick at best and we didn't manage any keeper sea bass.  Harold caught the only fish for the box today, which was a nice fat porgy. ;D

The ocean was a bit bouncy today, but that really didn't factor into the fishing.  They just didn't seem to want to eat today.  On the way in, the inlet was pretty shaken up.  Big rollers made running it a bit tricky.  But Joe handled it like it was just another day at the office (which it kind of is for him).  ;)

Of course, it was great to get out with Joe and the boys.  Thanks for having me out Joe.  We'll get 'em next time! t^

A wicked bad day of catching. We did get some short fish, not even many shorts though.

Full moon? Fish picked thru because it is the only game in town? We just sucked?  5hrug

Oh well, that's fishing. And that's what keep ya coming back.  TT^
