What a kowinkiedink,

This is the second time today I heard of Tottenville.  I was talking to a seasoned gent today on Ortley Beach about Tottenville.  He used to fish there years ago and raved about the place.  Keep us posted.

Happy Catching

well... it wasnt a night of fishing that i expected... I didnt hit Tottenville, I went 2 miles down the road a bit to Pleasant Plains Beach, which is the blinking red tower on the coast of South Shore Staten Island... I've heard of stripers being caught near the channel there

I was using sandworm with a 6/0 gamakatsu and all I caught were porgies the entire time i was there...  so I live lined one on one pole and kept fishen worm on the other pole...

still... more porgies... hahaha... I lost count on how many... all I know is the lil buggers went thru all my bait in a couple hours so I called it a night...

hopefully goin back to that spot with my friends boat and drifting the channel... I saw guys getting action off their boats, but I couldnt make out what they were boating...

Tottenville is the on the South side of Staten Island. Its right across from Keyport in the Raritan bay. You will find a large church steeple and some cliffs too. Very close to the Restaurant where we had the NJSWF party in Perth Amboy. Its also the location where the Monster weakfish was caught in the surf this spring.
