Wormin for Weaks 10/15
« on: October 15, 2008, 07:26:56 PM »
Pop OB and I headed out an hour before high tide to see if the Nutz were around in AH.  There were a couple of marks but I could not land a net on them to save my life.  Funny story... on about my sixth throw I watched the net spread real good thinking this was it, only to see the nylon cinch line come peeling off my wrist.  Damn!! Hate when that happens.  Took out the trusty treble hook and first cast landed me a net.  I was hoping that I'd get the bonus with some peanuts but no such luck.

We had a couple dozen worms with us hearing that the weakies arrived.  Sure enough right outside the Ammo pier there were plenty of marks on the FF.  At this point we were just on the other side of the high and the fish were holding tight with lockjaw.  Motored around a bit to the reach to check a few things out killing an hour.  Returned to the TC near the 1 can and began catching on each drift across the channel.

Ended the day with ten keeps in the box and 6 throwbacks.  Largest fish was caught by Pop OB. Beautiful day....  Saw the Ardent Angler in the same area filming.  Capt was nice enough to pass the balance of his worms my way just as we ran out.  Stuck it out another 45 minutes and headed back to the barn around 1:45.

That's what  Capt Chris Gatley from the Ardent Angler is all about.

The guy is top notch & he holds nothing back.

The Fishing industry needs more guys like Capt Chris who is 24/7 when it come's to fishing.

Chris is a very good friend of mine.

Chris filmed another episode of The Brownie Troop Fishing Show yesterday with Mickey from the Band called Ween.
