PPB 10/25 Weekend Report
« on: October 27, 2008, 08:14:09 AM »
New to the site, but here goes... Fished both mornings, Sat & Sun on the south end of PPB... lots of guys throwing clams and having a hard time holding.  Decided to throw metal and see what would happen.  Used an A47 w/green tube and picked up 1 short on the third cast... decided to add a yellow bucktail teaser into the mix and action started.  6 shorts (20-24" range) all together on Saturday, interesting enough most hit only 20-30 feet from the shore line. Sunday morning started the same, even with birds working directly in front was kind of slow, not many being landed,  my last cast of the morning brought in a 24", needed to cast beyond the breakers for the action.

Welcome Aboard jauriemma,

Thanks for posting this past weekend was a great one for many but you had to be in the right place at the right time an the bass have been moving around like their life depended on it.  Sorry for that but it has been a long weekend.

I was not able to get out except for a short time on Monday due to a cancellation.  I was forced to use salted calms and well lets say I fed them to the birds because the fish were not interested.  Only thing I caught was a small skate.  And that was pretty much the same all over IBSP.  The day was Saturday.  Many keepers caught in the cookie cutter variety from 28 to 30".

That's OK the season is very early and the water is starting to cool down so be ready.  The lure of choice has been the AVA in the range of 007 to A27 and now with your A47.  The colors of choice have been Green, Red and White.  I am hoping to get out sometime during the week after this next blow comes through.  There will be a wind advisory put up soon for Tuesday afternoon.

Again Welcome Aboard

Happy Catching

Paul
