Headed up for our annual Trip With Capt Wayne. Was Joined By Johny J and Back Door Billy (AKA Mr Hen). Fished mon-fri this week.
Weather was sunny and Between 60 and 70 deg ALL WEEK!!!Creeks still terribly low gotta head towards the lake to find any water. Lots of fish around though just gotta find em. Headed to our fav spots and had rainbows and browns on day one . Found the mother load JUMBO BROWNS and smaller rainbows.
9 Browns Over 10lbs on day1. Got my personal best a monster brown of 14 1/2lbs. Billy got his personal best (3 times) at 11 lbs. lots of other in the 4-8lb class. Pretty sick brown trout fishing.
Got our female brown eggs(Ontario Gold) all tied up and billy kept them under lock and key. Headed to a another spot day2 to lock for some steelhead. Water was low, but there was some fresh chrome waiting for us. Billy and myself both had 10 lb steelheads, Wayne and Jonny j some steelies too as well as a bunch of rainbows and browns.

Today we only fished in the am. But boy it was worth it. Went to a new spot and had fish all morning. Jonnyj landed a nice rainbow around 8lbs. Wayne landed a nice Skaminia Steelhead. This strain is long and slender and for what is lack in weight it make up in speed. 35in and 8lbs jumped 8 or nine times.
We landed around 30-50 each day, and had ton more hookups. Tons of action the whole trip. we released most, but kept some big browns, rainbows and a couple of steelies for johnyj who is having a nice fish fry at the freehold with his hunting club. Enjoy it man!!! But lay off the shrimp rolls, got legs??? lawn mower coming
All fish were caught on 6 lb test, flouro leader and x point or blackbird hooks under a float on the old noodle sticks... Billy broke out the 15 fter with center pin very cool site.
