10/31 bass report
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:05:30 AM »
Keith Dick and friends from local 1423 Insulator Union out for striper charter on 10/31. Got an early start left the dock around 6:30am broke the inlet and headed north towards bathing beach.  Following some reports that the fish came south a little, while running saw a set of birds real tight in about 35ft water.  Started trolling and within 5min we had are first fish, and didn’t stop for about 2 1/2hrs straight.  We caught stripers and bluefish, most of our stripers were caught in the morning hours and hit on blue/green stretches and black umbrella rigs.  We had a lot of shorts but did manage three nice keepers one under 30 inches and two over 30 inches along with and good amount of bluefish. I wish all the charters were with the nice guys that were on the boat yesterday; Keith and friends were an awesome bunch of guys to fish with and are welcome back anytime. All in all it was a great day on the water.
once the the guys send pics I will post them

Good report and nice job on the troll.  Both jigging and trolling worked for us on Saturday.   t^ grtn
