Hi All,
Well I was not able to make it out before sun up today like I thought. Stopped at Grumpys to pick up a couple dozen clams. Finally hit the beach at around 8:30 aired down and made the beach by 9:00. Set up around A11 and there is a great new cut that no one noticed. There were guys on my left and on my right and the cut right in front of me. It was an out going tide and I can see where the bars are. I put the first clam just inside the the cut on my left. I started to rig the second pole and the first pole takes a nose dive, FISH ON...The first fish is on the beach, short bass just over 26".
That felt good...About 15 minutes and the second pole takes a dive, I am glad I use my angled pole holders on the vehicle. This second fish, another bass hit the beach and measured 27", getting better,
Another 15 minutes and bam another hit on the first pole, this time it was a keeper, 29 1/2" bass on the beach. WoooHooo.
All fish were released BTW. From that point in time I was talked to change position and go up to the southern most Life Guard shack by a good friend and fellow Ham Lloyd Price, one great fisherman. Well the only other fish caught were 2 skate but thats OK I caught my fish earlier
As far as the guys to my south at A11 I saw them land 5 bass and release 5 bass good going guys. The one guy to my north caught 1 and released it as well. Needless to say the main fish brought to the beach today was the Striped Bass.
The boats were all over the place and they were picking up bass as well as blues. If you were in the flotilla off IBSP today in the masive bird flock I can't think that you were not catching.
What a day today if you were out on the beach, WOW...
Happy Catching
Paul
