Poor weather again
« on: November 16, 2008, 10:27:43 AM »
I am not much of a complainer but mother nature has not dealt us a great hand this fall.  Sure, we have had nice days, but they have been few and far between.  It is supposed to be pretty lousy again all week.

I feel the pain....had to cancel a trip for tomorrow because of the small boat conditions...hope it improves soon.

Yeah, weather hasn't been great all year.  Certainly seems to affect the fishing as well...even when you can get out 5hrug.

Good Luck guys.

This weather is OK for me to still get out onto the beach.  All I have to do is to remember to bring along the pocket warmers for the hands.  The waders keep me warm enough and the 7 hour warmers do the trick on the hands.

Now I have to come up with a heater to keep the ice of the guides... ;D

Happy Catching

Some falls you lose a handful, other falls (and seasons) you lose way too many to count!

Ya gotta figure it this way:  you're going to do probably x amount of trips you shouldn't have went on, and have a few that you cancelled that you probably could've gone through with; couple that with obvious cancellations, the law of averages works everything out  TT^

This time of year you have to figure that you will not be going out most of the time. The times that you do make it out are a plus.  TT^

We went out Sunday Morning Nov 16, Strong winds and waves but we stayed in the Raritan and found some sheltered areas. Well,, after 2 dozen clams we wound up with 1 Skate and a few runoffs while anchored.  :-\ :P  nosmly  Im still holding out for a big Striper before I winterize the boat.
