« on: February 04, 2009, 06:46:21 PM »
Has anyone fished the algol?

Is it just ling in the spring or does it hold cod and blackfish ?

Im planning on using a wreck anchor. How much line do I need?

Thanks for the Info

I have never fished but I have dove on it.  You can figure it is about 130-140 ft to the sand.  Wreck actually comes up into the 70 ft range.  Holds are open and it is possible to drop an anchor right into one.  If you go there there are several other wrecks in the SR Reef as well at the Stolt near by.

sealife, that sounds like a cool dive. What time of the year were you there and what species did you see on the wreck? <'((((><

Summer time and we saw the normal collection of begalls, sea bass and black fish.  Once we were near there and there was a school of bluefish over the wreck.

Any way of getting you to tell us where you have seen the big Fluke? A pm reply would be acceptable and advisable.  ;D  <'((((><
