PETA
« on: January 19, 2009, 11:08:23 PM »
Not sure if this is an old topic...
When i sat in the seminar at the Sportsman show last week, the speaker mentioned that PETA encourages their members to dig large holes (boobie traps) on beaches that are popular surf fishing spots in hopes that beach buggies will get stuck.
Figured I'd pass it along.

I have not heard that but I guess with those cooks anything is possible.  I would say if anyone spots anything that looks suspicious take down the license plate number and BB number and report it to either a ranger or the front gate.

That's all we need is for them to start attacking our beaches.  A lot of people use the beach not only for fishing but for a family outing I would hate to see a child get hurt because of some low life PETA members agenda.

They don't realize that hunting, fishing and gathering is the most natural form of survival.  There were no stores selling tofu 2000 years ago.

They figure if a beach buggy gets stuck the fisherman will spend his time digging the truck out rather then fishing.

I am sure they aren't aware of the code of the sand.  If one gets stuck we all help out.  Well most of us think that way.

All it has to happen is once and I am sure the rangers will be all over the place from that point on.  Besides one good storm and it will make the beach safe once more.
