Offshore Seabass Saturday the 10th
« on: January 11, 2009, 11:32:49 PM »
Went on my annual winter offshore seabass this past Saturday. We hit the post and pre gale winds perfectly. Beautiful weather, cold but very little wind and flat seas for January. Came home with lots of fillets - Seabass, ling and cod.  I was constantly reeling in something all day even if it was the occasional dogfish and silver eels in it was still tons of fun to be cranking something up from the deep nonstop.  I wasn't so lucky but quite a few pollock were caught. The pool winner was a 28lbs.  Forgot the camera

Sounds like a great day to be out anywhere.  Nice to bring home those fillets as well.  Good catching

Thanks for the report. Congrats on the catch. Sounds like you're going to have a nice dinner. Sea Bass is really good eating. My favorite. Where did you fish out of. What boat?

Bobby Bogan is a very good guy and captain as well.  I know my 2010 offshore experience will be on the Gambler.

Glad you had a great time.

Nice, wanted to fish this past weekend, but due to family obligations, all I caught were opinions and ZZZ's.  <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
