Bassmasters Classic

Although I love the salt, I also love those green and brown fish that swim in the sweetwater as well. t^

For those of you who are interested, the Bassmasters Classic finale will air tonight on ESPN at 10pm.  If you know who won already, please don't give it away.  I have to record on the DVR and watch it later after my wife is finished watching The Oscars. ;D

Okay Bob I won't say anything as far who is winning.  The thing is I have done a lot of freshwater fishing and I can't see why all these guys hit that fish that not only do they want to cross the eyes but I do believe they are trying to pop them out of the sockets.

It looks a little crazy to hit them so hard and sharp hooks.

I can see why they loose so many.   5hrug

From what I saw of the first day the fish are up way shallow.  The cover was so thick it looked like some of the guys were fishing on land! ;D

In that environment its down and dirty.  Heavy rods and heavy line.  Set the hook hard and keep 'em coming towards the boat.  Can't give them a chance to even think about wrapping you up! t^

What a finish!  Jersey native Mike Iaconelli had a tremendous comeback on day three.  Going fish for fish with Skeet Reese right up until the final minutes. w0w

Unfortunately my boy Ike came up just 11 ounces short :P, which gave Reese his first Classic win.

That was an exciting competition!  I was pulling for Mike Iaconelli...he is a crazy fisherman.  I thought he might have had it up until that final weigh in.  Mike has a good fishing show on Versus, too...City Limits Fishing!  That was a good one to watch last night...
