Looking for a new leaning post

Long story short my seats suck, not only do they suck, they're uncomfortable.  I'm looking to purchase a new leaning post.  Anyone had one recently installed that they like?

Hi PCramer6,

My first Wellcraft 21' Fisherman CC (just like yours) got its seats ripped out as well. They were useless. I remember swiveling in the port seat and it brushing against the starboard seat. I hated it.

I replaced it with this:

They even have an optional seat back. I had a cooler that fit under it.

There are leaning posts with livewells and tackle centers and all kinds of configurations these days.

I would also suggest something a little radical. Think about replacing the seats with a marge Igloo Marine cooler with a cushion. It is high enough and comgortable. Better yet, when we were fighting fish off the back (trolling bluefin tuna), we left the cooler off the boat for extra room in the stern.

Thats the one I have Capt.Ed,Its not bad for the price,thats about what I paid.but for $800 or $900 you can get a lot nicer.check Boaters World catalog.

Hi PCramer6,

No matter what, try to thru bolt them. I even made a starboard cutout for a backing plate. Even if you cannot thru bolt all of them, get as many as you can.

I cannot remember if the holes lines up from the old seat pedestals to the leaning post's pedestals.

Use a lot of 5200 Fast Cure.

Thanks Capt.  good to know.  I think I may have someone professionaly instal it when i buy it.  My fuel tank is right underneath and with my luck i'll puncture it.
