Cliffwood beach report.
« on: March 26, 2009, 11:02:43 PM »
Went out with Chris {cashin} to throw a few clams tonight. We arrived a half hour before high tide 7:30pm  and fished for 3 hours. Constant rain and chilly weather made the night uncomfortable. No action to report, Quite a few anglers were around but nobody was hooking up. Perhaps the lack of sunlight today hindered the warming effect on the flats and kept the fish away. :-\

Went out again on Sunday with Steve-Massbaster, and Chris--Cashin,,  to Cliffwood beach as the tide was heading out around 1pm. We tossed clams for 3 hours without a nibble. :P :P  The tide was very very low and we saw a small center console run aground in shallow water. He took a few minutes to get loose and the fog was very thick. We hear people are catching but have not seen much.
