This whole story is bogus. I witnessed the 4 men with my own eyes. I was surf fishing the beach with Steve (Bassmaster) and Chris (Cashin). We saw the 4 guys who appeared to be Mexican come off the jetty and go towards the parking lot. The tide was very low. We were almost ready to call it a night because the tide was low and it was getting cold, plus we never got a nibble that day.  Then we saw the same 4 guys return to the beach with a cheap underinflated raft and 4 containers of coffee. We could not believe that they would even think of going out in that raft with the wind being so strong. But the idiots wound up in the raft and started out towards the end of the jetty. At around 7:30 pm we packed up our gear and head out for a bite to eat and were joking that we would hear about them on the news. I was not surprised to see it on channel 12 news the next morning.  nts nts

Eddies story is true. We did witness some of the men trying to make it back out to the end of the jetty in an underinflated raft while one or two of them walked out on the jetty. I guess common sense didn't tell them to get off when the tide started to come in...  5hrug
