Temporary Boat Slips in Raritan Bay
« on: April 22, 2009, 12:43:25 PM »
I am new to this website and this is my first post. Does anyone know of any marinas around Raritan Bay that have temporary (not full season) slips available. I am looking to keep my boat in the water mainly for the month of May and possible June. If anyone has any recommendations for me please advise. I appreciate any info passed along. I would also be interested in a place where I can keep the boat on the trailer and use a ramp if it is convenient. I believe Atlantic Highlands Municipal does something like that. Thanks.

You may want to give Keyport Marina (not the muni) or Brown's point a try.  The market is fairly depressed and they may be hungry for business.  Just speculation.

Atlantic Highlands will do daily and weekly slips, but they are booked seasonal.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

Guys thanks for the info and keep it coming if anyone else out there has any suggestions. I've been keeping the boat on the other side (Staten Island) out of Princess Bay. It was actually really convenient and I had a sweet deal over there but that is no more. You also couldn't beat the fishing on that side the month of May. The fluke regulations in NY are an absolute joke so I really have no desire to keep it there anymore. Are there any issues with really low water during low tide over in Keyport. I'm really not familiar with the area at all. Thanks again.

Try the slips in Browns Boat yard or Morgan Marina both in Morgan (sayreville)they have empty slips why not take a guy for month or 2 instead of keeping it empty.
