A Question On Older Yamaha 150

I was changeing the oil in the lower unit,i put the screw in the top and pumped a little more to top it off,when oil came out of this little hole in front of the water intake holes on the lower unit.never had this happen before.iam hopeing its an overflow.its a 92 150 2 stroke.any help would be grateful

Hi,

It should not be a problem. I have managed that myself. There is a seal in there to be aware of.

BTW, I may have tech manuals for that engine. I will check and if you need them I will get them to you.

Your are the man Capt. Ed!I know I could count no you.if its an overflow I wont worry about it,if not i'll take any help or info.that will give me a reason to change the water pump.thanks for the come back and help,anything i can do for let me know.
