Hunter 2, Wed night 4/29, Bass everywhere!!

Left the dock around 6:15 pm. with Mass Baster and Cashin, The usual crew on the boat. We went to the same spot in the Raritan bay that I hooked up alone on the previous night. We came armed with more Clams and had nicer weather. Water temp was around 58 degrees and tide was at dead low. Once we arrived, we dropped anchor and chummed a bit. After a 20 min and a huge Skate reeled in, the guys were getting ants in the pants. I told them to wait a while till the tide started moving a bit towards shore. We chummed some more,,,, Then it happened!  ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!  FISH ON!!  Then another, ZZZZZZ FISH ON!. We were doing the old get the net and bait the hook dance. Along with a couple of crossed lines in the dark.   It did not stop until we were out of Clams. We were cleaned up and home by 11 pm.  Total count was 30 Striper's with 6 keepers from 29" to 34" and 15 pounds  and 3 Skates. One of the keepers jumped out of the box while we were putting another in. Cashin Had it for a few seconds in his arm but he was also fighting a fish at the same time.   That fish went right back in the water to fight again, Tonight was too windy to go out but we will go again for more action while it lasts.   Best of Luck,  Eddie
