ARC dehooker
« on: May 07, 2009, 10:43:04 AM »
I purchased and have been trying to use this thing correctly in the past few weeks. I guess it takes some practice to get the technique down. With so many short Striper's coming on the boat lately I want to release them in good shape. I checked out a couple of instructional videos on U-tube and they were helpfull. Does anyone here have any luck with the dehooker on gut hooked Striper's. I also strongly recommend the 30lb Boga grip. It a great tool.

I don't think the dehooker works well on inside hook ups.. since you need to hold the line below the hook..  There is a little notch on it to use for that purpose I believe.. I've yet to try it.
