NY fluke regs
« on: June 03, 2009, 08:13:18 AM »
while out yesterday noticed a couple of NJ party boats fishing the channels the NY side for fluke, one was the Misty Morn and the other didn't get the name, assume it was the Seahawk or Capt John.I believe all party boats stay in compliance with all regs.this was early so I'm guessing they hit this area first and telling customers they can only keep 21 inch fish?  5hrug  Kez

From NYDEC: http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/53107.html

For 2009, the minimum size limit will be 21 inches, compared to 20.5 last year. The bag limit will be two fish, down from four. Additionally, there will be a split season:

Open May 15 - June 15.
Closed June 16 - July 2.
Open July 3 - August 17.
Closed thereafter.

Yes, everybody complies with the regs at all times  ::)
