Sunday Sunday 5/31
« on: May 31, 2009, 08:19:00 PM »
Left out of Shark River Inlet around 5:45am and headed north. Filled the well with Bunker just south of Asbury. Tommy never snagged Bunker before and he had a blast doing so. No Bass on the pods. Lets move north.

Got to "The Rocks" and started livelining. Almost immediately I had a run off and pulled a big Bluefish to the boat, good sign. Nothing after that! Spoke to Joe of Irish Ayes fame, same thing, nada at this time.

Moved just off the "Emanate Domain" buildings off Long Branch, 38 ft deep and started catching flatties and short SeaBass. Ended with 5 keeper Fluke.  ;D

Had a fun day fishing with friends, have Fluke dinner, and enjoyed some Fluke Sashimi after cleaning the boat and fish. TT^ <'((((><

I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

I'll take 3 keeper fluke ... Keep on it they will come.
With the keeper size three is a good catch.  maybe I'll show a bit of my 42 years but a 19" fluke is plenty big in my book, i would be happy with a 16" keeper like when i was a kid with my dad on long branch peer. It may have been even 14 " i can't remember that far back ain't that a shame.
