What do you use to keep bait
« on: June 14, 2009, 12:22:36 PM »
I am looking for something to keep bait in at the boat slip. What do most of you use to keep the bait alive? Do you just use a everyday floating bait bucket?

Thanks
Rick
Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Any one of those bait buckets sold at a B and T store is good to start.

i got a real nice, large, floating bait bucket, but you can also take a 50 gallon drum or garbage pail and drill holes in it an but a float around the rim and use that.  I seen that done in florida.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

Rick, I thought you were refering to small bait and stuff.
For the bigger stuff: I've seen some use 10 to 30  gal.buckets and drill holes and float them next to the boat.( gotta watch for the midnight raiders) nosmly.
There are a few commercial ones in the stores.
Good Luck in your search.
